Reminiscing on the beginning of it all.

I'm sitting up here on the balcony - where it all started. I'm just taking a break from a paper before I finish it up and start the other. The joys ...

But as I sat up here, I started to reminisce on this past semester and on the adventures that the library has brought Tarra and me.

I sit up here and see people I know walk through the doors and take a seat at the computers down below. Occasionally some of them will look in my direction and wave. Others will send a text message saying something along the lines of, "Hey I see you up there. Get to work"

It's funny how this all started. It's funny to see where this has all taken us. Not just Tarra and me, but the people that have been mentioned in the blog. Some of them follow, others just don't know we're writing about them [well maybe?].

Some people just come to the library to be in our blog. While others demand that we be in the library when they are (Hillary & Zack, to name a few). We've been fortunate enough to even celebrate birthdays in the library. Like Scott's, Jedidiah's, Tarra's, and even Megan's. Some people find it an odd way to interact with people in the library, but I've realized that it's a happening place to be, especially on a college campus like ours.

Through the midst of reminiscing, someone walked in and set off the security sensors ;)

As this semester is coming to an end, so will this blog. For those of you stumbling on this blog late, enjoy reading all the posts. If you're like Tarra or me, you'll find them funny.

Now go and study hard you guys! It's Dead Week and our lives will soon begin to feel hellish for realizing the amount of work that we've put off!

HAPPY [belated] BIRTHDAY to...

MEGAN KIRCHGASLER!!

Her birthday was a couple days ago - April 6!  Since she made a guest appearance a couple weeks ago, it's fitting to write a belated birthday blog! Woot!

So yeah, hope you had an amazing birthday, Megan, because you deserve it! You're an awesome friend, and I really appreciate your friendship as well as everything you have done for CPB.  I know you will continue to be a great leader on campus and making people smile and laugh just by being you! I'll miss you next year, but I know you're going to have some excellent adventures in Australia and when you return to UP!  Have a great 20th year! :D

-------------------------------------------------------------------

When Megan visited the library, I was on a library adventure with Sam.  We decided to try a change of scenery so we set up camp by those tables where the windows shine down on them.  It was a pleasant surprise to see Megan because I hardly see her in the library.  Madison joined Sam and me that day as well. Fun times!

Also during that visit, I had an interesting interaction with the library workers (never a dull moment with them, eh?).  So I needed to return some books as well as renew another set of books.   The guy with really blue eyes (think his name is Connor) was helping me figure this out.  He took the books I wanted to return, while I continued to the main check-out counter to renew the rest, where 15 min guy was.  I put my bag of books on the counter, and 15 min guy totally checked what I had in my bag. Uh...just books dude (obviously)!  Connor continued to help me by renewing all my books, even though I only need half of those books still.  The sitch was figured out, and I was good to go. YAY! :)

That's my update from a couple weeks ago. Man...need to keep this blog more regularly updated! Shoot.

P.S. I kept seeing Ian Hilger during that week that Megan visited.  Never got a picture with him though.  We always just smiled and waved at each other.

That dumb shelf ...

First off, you really should be doing your homework right now.

You know how I know that? Because I need to be doing homework right now too. Anyways, this is going to be a quick update.

Like Tarra said in the last blog, it's time to kick it into high gear and get work done son. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened in the library yesterday night because I was not here :( I was in Fields studying for a Biology test that I had today. I would so LOVE to tell you about retro viruses and inducible/repressible operons. But this blog is neither the time nor place to do so.

Back to library business, I came to the library on Sunday for about an hour and saw the original crew that is usually around (Scott & Caitlin). Amongst these usual goers though were two new characters to our story: Ian Hilger and Megan Kirchgasler. Sadly, I don't have any pictures with either of the two :(

I then left the library because I was SUPER tired, ha.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I want to say that this took place on Monday night in the library with Tarra. Well, you see there's this table we sit at in the corner of the library. It's a cool table, I prefer it much better than the balcony, BUT there is also this dumb shelf that is near the our table that always shakes when we walk by. First of all, it's really annoying that it does that, but most of all it seriously makes me feel fatter than I know I am. Tarra would say the same, only because she has.

--------------------------------------------------------------
As I sit here, I can see Broom and Olberding. Most likely working on business stuff, or Facebook, ha.

That's all I've got for today folks!

Peace & Love :D
