Smosh...in the library?!

Madison and I are sitting here on the balcony, facing the parking lot. Different location. Kinda. It's better than sitting, facing the entrance because I'm not so tempted to look who is coming in and out of the library. Haha.
So we have been contemplating whether this kid sitting over by the other windows looks like Anthony Padilla from Smosh.  Madison is totally convinced that he does.
So Anthony is part of a duo that makes YouTube videos (funny stuff). Anywho...we can't decide because we haven't found a decent picture of Anthony, except for this bathtub one from his sexy calendar. Oh geeze. Seriously though?! You'd think with all those YouTube videos that he would have some good photographs. Oh well. Our contemplation shall continue as we continue our homework, but apparently I have no say in the matter, so it's final. The kid in the corner looks like Anthony, according to Madison.

In other news, we had the Senate awards tonight, and guess where everyone went afterward? Oh yeah...the library!  A lot of them were all dressed up because we yet again forgot to take the Senate group picture. LAME.  But yeah, Madison and I definitely walked into the library and saw Sam, K-Scall, Jedidiah, Andrew, Brian, Scott, and lots more. Hahaha It was like an ASUP party in the library. What what!?

So...Rick has a funny story for you guys, which definitely gives us hope for taking pictures with some people in the lib.

Anyway, must get back to work. Hope the start of dead week hasn't been too grueling yet.

Later dudes.

Visit #3.

Back in the Multnomah County Library...

I'm still looking at advertisements and recording them in a massive spreadsheet. K-Scall knows my obsession with making charts for organizing things.

By the way, Madison is here with me. She's working on some Spanish homework. We had an adventure using the bus and MAX line. Super easy.  I'll probably be coming down here later this week.

Well, back to work.  I'm looking at ads from the October 1942 issue of Good Housekeeping.  It's interesting looking at all these ads because I think different ads are in magazines nowadays.  I mean, who advertises towels and refrigerators anymore?  Well, there might be some out there in certain magazines, but I guess I haven't seen them in others.  Haha...I should check that out sometime.

Alright, probably will be at UP's library tonight, so more adventures then too.  Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday! Enjoy the sunshine! :)

P.S. There's so really cool tables with outlets in the middle of the table! That's for you SpeakUP!

P.P.S. Doing some mini-lifecasting in the library on Twitter! Some funny stuff is happening here.

Luck of the Irish...

...in the library? It's Wednesday night, and even though it's St. Patrick's Day, we managed to go to the library to hit the books. Way to go studious studs! ;)

By the way...here's a video about the history of St. Patrick's Day just for the fun of it.

Back in the corner table with Sam and K-Scall, we got some work done. I found my artifacts for my capstone at the Multnomah County Library. I just hope that I can actually get all of them. That would be most excellent.

Rick came by a little later after FISH. He got to sing during FISH today. Not sure how it went though because I was in class/EspressoUP/library. Anywho, he joined us and started working with us as well.

Rick was wondering where Scott was because again he thought Scott was working. Nope. Scott was working with Brooks Broom over yonder. haha

I'm totally blanking right now about what happened in the library tonight, even though I know Rick and I shared some really good laughs. Like that one time when I posted a picture on Moodle Up about pilots.up.edu, and I put the wrong one up. hahaha Oh man...good times! The right one is up now, folks (featured here because apparently I lost the original...whoops).

Also, Rick and Colin discovered a misspelling in a Relay for Life chalk advertisement in front of Mehling Hall - Rely for Life?!?! I also had some random giggle attacks. Shoot.

Jeff wondered around the lib with 3-D glasses because you know everything is better in 3-D! Looking snazzy, best friend! ;)

Rick and I stayed until the lights went out. We're pretty convinced that they keep turning off earlier and earlier as we stay until closing. But yeah, as we were leaving, we ran into Andrew. Yesterday we bought some sweet Dirty Finch shirts! Rick and I got them today, so we'll definitely need to wear them to the lib and take some pictures! Woot! :)

Which reminds me that I never really got around to writing about Tuesday's time in the library. It was pretty funny as we talked to Andrew about buying shirts because he thought we were shaky customers. Whatever. We bought shirts. What now?!

Other than that, I remember writing for class. Wow, that took forever, but the writing doesn't stop there. Yeah, pretty much, especially since I'm working toward being a journalist.

But yeah, off to writing more papers! Catch ya in the library tomorrow! ;)

"This table is perfect for dancing on."

Just one of the random quotes I had tonight while studying for my POL200 exam tonight in the library. hahaha

It was an interesting night. Sam and K-Scal were already in the library with their stuff in the basement. I don't really like studying in the basement because it's completely silent, and people always seem pissed when you walk down there to study, like you're invading their space or something. Uh, hello people. It's a library. People have to walk to the place where they are going to study at some point. But yeah, I settled down in the basement and was just uncomfortably hot. Plus it seemed like I was making a ton of noise. As soon as K-Scal came downstairs, I went outside to get some fresh air.

Guess who I found outside? Rick and Madison! We decided to head over to Villa, but first with a pit stop in the library. I needed my ID card. I also got a chance to check out a movie for class - Citizen Kane. Now who was working the media desk? 15 min guy! haha I swear...another Mean Girls moment. Instead of checking out my movie there, we had to walk upstairs together so that I could check it out at the front desk because the computer wasn't working for some reason. Weird. According to Madison, the computer at the media desk worked yesterday...

So yeah, we were on our merry way to Villa. Fun times! This year (probably even just this semester), I've been to Villa (like not just the lobby area) more times than I have in my whole UP career. It really helps that I actually know quite a few of them now. haha

Back from Villa, Madison and I dropped off Rick at the library while we proceeded to the Cove. Got some late night snackage and headed back for some studying in our favorite study area.

We decided to get out of the silent black hole of the basement. We passed by the 15 min guy, who smiled at us. Haha Madison and I sat in that corner table again. I'm telling you, I'm warming up to that corner area. It's kinda nice. Rick wanted us to join him, but he was at one of those really large, low tables that I don't like...where he was spying on Scott (no joke dude).

So yeah, I'd say it was productive-ish night for homework. I like working with Madison. I feel like I actually get something done when I'm with her. No offense Rick, but sometimes you talk too much. And yes, I just called you out on it in our blog.

Anyway, it's getting late, and I need to do some last minute studying before heading to bed. Hope everyone's surviving this midterm week (unless of course you still don't have midterms or you're already on spring break...you're all lucky bums)! Good luck! We're almost there! :)
