That dumb shelf ...

First off, you really should be doing your homework right now.

You know how I know that? Because I need to be doing homework right now too. Anyways, this is going to be a quick update.

Like Tarra said in the last blog, it's time to kick it into high gear and get work done son. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened in the library yesterday night because I was not here :( I was in Fields studying for a Biology test that I had today. I would so LOVE to tell you about retro viruses and inducible/repressible operons. But this blog is neither the time nor place to do so.

Back to library business, I came to the library on Sunday for about an hour and saw the original crew that is usually around (Scott & Caitlin). Amongst these usual goers though were two new characters to our story: Ian Hilger and Megan Kirchgasler. Sadly, I don't have any pictures with either of the two :(

I then left the library because I was SUPER tired, ha.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I want to say that this took place on Monday night in the library with Tarra. Well, you see there's this table we sit at in the corner of the library. It's a cool table, I prefer it much better than the balcony, BUT there is also this dumb shelf that is near the our table that always shakes when we walk by. First of all, it's really annoying that it does that, but most of all it seriously makes me feel fatter than I know I am. Tarra would say the same, only because she has.

--------------------------------------------------------------
As I sit here, I can see Broom and Olberding. Most likely working on business stuff, or Facebook, ha.

That's all I've got for today folks!

Peace & Love :D

Missing us?

Hey Readers!

It's the week before Easter Break, and things have been kicked into high gear academically.  Sure, we're spending more time in the library, but we really haven't had a chance to update.  I have a couple stories from this past weekend, and I'm sure Rick does too.  New guest appearances have joined us on our adventures, and we have some funny stories to share.  Plus, we have some commentary about things we've noticed.  Just a little something something to look forward to...

Please hang in there as we update our blog. In the meantime, maybe you should get some homework done too.  ;)

Catch ya later!

Tiredness

Argh!!! Why am I so freakin' tired all the time?  I really need to do my assignments tonight with laundry and packing to boot! Oh my goodness.  I just want - no, need - to wake up and be able to complete all these demands.  Luckily, the weekend is swiftly approaching.  Hopefully, I can get some rest and be productive as well, even with the ASUP Executive Board Transition Retreat this weekend.  I'm actually looking forward to a quick Oregon coast getaway.

ANYWAY, Rick and I are going to take a break with a quick Cove run.  One 16 oz. zebra mocha, please!

Our late night Cove purchases.

HAPPY [belated] BIRTHDAY TO...

JEDIDIAH FUGLE!!!

Yeah, we know we missed your birthday by a day (or two), but we didn't see you here in the library on the day of...slightly problematic for a blog about adventures in the library, you know what I mean?

ANYWHO...For your 23rd birthday, we wish you a year of sweet accomplishments, amazing times with great friends, and excellent adventures (like the ones you'll have in Europe...woot!)!  Look ahead to your bright future but never forget about the past - people, places, things, events, etc.  These things have shaped you to make you YOU! Hope you had a fantastic day but hope you have an even better year! :)

----------------------------------------------------
So blog readers may be wondering why I'm not in the picture but writing this blog...Well, Rick found Jedidiah in the library the day after his birthday, and I insisted that he get a picture, even though I was totally walking to Fields Hall at that time to pick up my photography things. Bah...we should have taken a picture the DAY BEFORE. Shoot. Oh well. We can take group shots later.

So yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jedidiah! Have an amazing year! CELEBRATE! Be happy. Have fun. Be safe. Live the Fourth! :)

Silence.

We're on the main floor, and it's completely silent.  Well, I mean I can hear Rick's breathing...poor kid still has a sinus infection. But seriously. No one is talking at all.  We might as well be in the basement...you know the OFFICIAL Quiet Zone.  But yeah, it's a bit eerie.

White tables

It's lunchtime, but no, I'm not eating lunch in the library, just spending time in here before class starts. I thought I had my assignment with me, but apparently not.  Definitely not walking all the way back to Fields, so hello blog updation! ;)

So it's a B-E-A-U-tiful day outside!
Too bad I thought it was going to be chilly like yesterday.  Definitely dressed up with a sweater and boots. Blah. Spring time in Portland, can you please decide whether it's going to be nice and sunny on a more consecutive basis?

Anyway, I'm on the main floor of the library, realizing that I don't sit at these long white tables for a reason (maybe more than just one).

1. The table is too LOW, or maybe I'm just TALL.  I have to like hunch over to type or slouch in my chair.
2. They are awkwardly shaped - GIGANTICLY big, but I get it.  It's so that people can spread their work over a large area.
3. I feel really weird sitting here...bah!

So that's my little rant about these tables.  I just want to return to the table in the corner or even up in the balcony.  At least they are proportional for me to have some good posture when I'm working on homework.

On a plus side, these tables are definitely sturdy enough to dance on (you know you were questioning that). ;)

Well, I'm heading to class! Later!

Two updates in one!

It really is your lucky day, you get two updates in one blog! How cool!? I know O_o

Yesterday, Sunday, people from Encounter were coming back from their awesome Godly retreat. I'm so proud of those guys, but that's aside the point. The only reason why I mention Encounter the slightest bit is because Evan went onto Encounter and he came back with the group - as I would hope he would. Not only did he come back from the retreat, he also went to the library with Tarra last night. I honestly don't know what happened because I showed up around 10:30 last night because of practice prior to my adventures here in the good ol' library. Maybe Tarra could fill you in on what went down with her adventures with Evan :)

One thing is for sure, we had a photobooth photoshoot yesterday, haha.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, today is Monday. Today was a work day. Today I was in the library since 6:30 slaving my life away on Chemistry! I swear, it will be the death of me.

In other news, we have a very new addition to our blog: Katie Capps. She's a senator for Mehling along with Caitlin Chu, who is mentioned a few blogs ago. She is also a freshman business major. Yeah, that's about it. That's Katie - meet her. Ask her questions. She doesn't bite, despite her small size, ha.

While I slaved away on Chemistry and Katie slaved away on other things, Tarra came in from the Diversity Dialogue speaker. Tarra realized just how conservative she is from that one speaker. Way to go Tarra!! She's been working on getting a job/internship. So she's been productive, but like she said, "I've been productive, but not the right production."

It's ok Tarra, at least we had some fun in the library with photo booth, haha.

That's really all there is to say tonight. The usual people are here working like Madison and Scott. Mainly Scott since he's here all the time. The usual people have passed through.

PS. Sam just walked by to say bye to us. BYE SAM!! BYE READERS!! Oh yeah! Jedidiah was here. He also came back from Encounter, haha. Again, BYE READERS!!

PSS. They started turning the lights off at 11:56. It's a reasonable time, but really? Do they want me and Tarra out of here that bad? Maybe they just want out as bad as they want us out, haha.
